Saien Muhammad Ali played the iktara taking rounds and sang Baba Bulay Shah’s kalam ‘Ki Jana Mein Kuan We Bulaya’ and ‘Jadoon Ishaq Namza Niti Aye’. They belong to the Zila Jalandar, Talawandi Chohdrian their grandfather Barkar Ali was a renowned Qawal of the subcontinent. The Ishfaq Ali Jaza Hussain Qawals have been enthralling the audience with their mesmerizing performances in this historic genre of singing for three generations. The evening opened with a qawali performance by Ishfaq Jaza Hussain.
